THE BOTTOM LINE: How Smart Equipment Purchasing Strategies Pay Off

Processing equipment that improves plant efficiency is playing an increasingly important role in profitability for food manufacturers. Beginning with this edition of the newsletter, Triangle Process Equipment will regularly present advice in “The Bottom Line” aimed at helping food processors realize cost-effective equipment investments. Our first topic: the importance of consultation.

Long before research begins for equipment replacement, discriminating food manufacturers should first look to align their operation with an equipment consultant that is in sync with their business objectives. Is your goal to increase production? To reduce operating costs? To move product through the line more quickly? Collaborate with the consultant to look at the big picture, not just one piece of equipment — or one aspect of your process — to evaluate where efficiencies can be gained. For example, while updating a plate-and-frame heat exchanger to a more efficient shell-and-tube model will streamline maintenance, there might also be areas of a plant where wasted heat could be recovered. An experienced equipment representative will help identify those cost-saving opportunities.

Triangle Process Equipment representatives offer a wealth of practical, boots-on-the-ground experience in the food and beverage industry. For help planning your next equipment acquisition, please contact us.
